The movie “Lighter thanOrange” was made in 2015 and consists of a number of interviews of Vietnamese soldiers talking about their experiences during the “American War” and dealing with the effects of Agent Orange afterward. Or, we’ll watch another of our numerous movie choices, as decided by attendees. Potluck at 6:00, movie starts at 7:00.

Rob Mulford’s statement to court for protesting the Racket.
Please, if you will, take the time to listen to my recent Asymmetric Moose program. I know it is long (1hr) but I think it might be worth your while. It contains my statement to the jury concerning my arrest (Oct. 3rd) for protesting: the further militarization of Alaska, and the murder of over 30 pine nut farm workers by U.S. drone this Past September 18, in Afghanistan. I was intending on delivering it in its entirety, risking jail for contempt. The DA dismissed the case before trial, so I recorded my statement and made it a radio program for KWRK-LP 90.9 Fairbanks, Alaska.

Alternatives to Violence Project – USA (AVP) workshops use the shared experience of both participants and facilitators to examine how injustice, prejudice, frustration and anger can lead to aggressive behavior and violence. We explore our innate power to respond in new and creative ways.
Three Day Workshop:
- Friday, December 6: 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm
- Saturday, December 7: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Sunday, December 8: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
This beginning basic training will present conflict resolution skills through experiential learning exercises and practice with the goal of helping Direct Service providers and community members to think about and make choices to reduce conflicts in work and everyday settings. There will be 18 Contact Hours associated with this training.
