There will be an Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) introduction on Friday, Feb. 27 at Hidden Hill Friends Center, 2682 Gold Hill Rd. Sponsored by the Alaska Peace Center (APC).
There will be a potluck at 6 pm in the main cabin with the program starting at 7 pm in the meeting house. There will be a zoom option as well.
The AVP program, sponsored in AK. by the non-profit Hands of Peace, will be led by Carrie Farr, Sharon Baring, and Adam Hamilton, who have facilitated workshops in prisons and in community settings throughout Alaska. The workshops promote cooperation, community building, and conflict resolution in an experiential manner.
We will be having workshops in the near future to help others become facilitators too!
