All welcome! Front and center for this meeting will be the election of board members. Some board members have reached term limits, so some new people are needed. Our by-laws state that we can serve on the board for five consecutive two-year terms. We gladly anticipate fresh board energy, possibly moving the organization in new directions! We also need to start planning for our booth at the Tanana Valley Fair coming up at the end of July. We will need lots of volunteers for booth sitting. Other ongoing concerns include developing ways to support the Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (and supporting the Juneau Vets For Peace program), the expansion of local military bases including the F-35 deployment, and monitoring the relationship between UAF and the Department of Defense.
